Before becoming a lawyer, Jonathan owned a café and pet supplies store in his hometown, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit. 

During his law school years, he gained practical experience working as a seasonal paralegal for various law firms in the Philippines. After completing his law degree, Jonathan served as a Technical Assistant for a special commission formed by the President of the Philippines to draft a revision to the 1987 Constitution, a proposal currently pending Congressional approval. Upon his admission as a lawyer, Jonathan worked for four years as a Court Attorney at the Court of Appeals, where he was exposed to a wide range of legal areas. 

Seeking to broaden his horizons, Jonathan moved to Australia to gain a different perspective and understanding of his field.
